Meeting Today’s Economic Challenges
The current economic climate has made all of us think more carefully about where and how we spend our money. To help our clients not only find the most suitable but also the most cost-effective solutions, we’ve put together a few tips that can help reduce overall project costs:
Send Us Your Print Layout
Since we work with multiple printing machines, seeing the layout allows us to compare all options and choose the most cost-effective one.
Plan the Required Label Quantity and Allow for Extras
While we don’t set a minimum order quantity, keep in mind that setup time on industrial printing equipment is the same whether you print 20 labels or 2,000. This means the price difference between small and larger runs can be minimal. In printing, the rule is simple: the larger the run, the better the price.
Combine Different Designs Into One Project
In digital printing, labels with the same technical specifications but different designs can often be combined into a single project. For example, 30ml and 50ml bottle labels might be created in the same size to fit both products. This way, you get one project with multiple versions but a higher total volume—again benefiting from lower unit costs.
Rethink Coating Choices
In some cases, laminate coating is essential—for example, if labels will face mechanical wear or when using materials that imitate metallic colors. However, if laminate is chosen only for visual reasons, switching to varnish coating can noticeably lower the total project cost.
Simulating Special Effects
Exclusive materials or extra services like hot foil stamping aren’t always necessary. Metallic effects such as gold or silver can be achieved by printing on special substrates that already imitate these finishes. Similarly, kraft paper or other textured looks can often be integrated into the design itself, achieving a similar effect without added expense.
